I have modelled on and off, for over 15 years, and have had the pleasure of doing some really lovely jobs. However, with the changes in my body after having my babies, I have definitely experienced the highs and lows our bodies as women, undergo as a result of having children.
Often these changes resulted in me not quite making the cut for long desired modelling roles and being pipped to the post by someone more slender, more younger, more pretty!

During my teens I really struggled with my weight and was often teased at school during PE By the boys, for being "The skinny one" I feel that sometimes people don't take these offensive comments seriously and would often follow up such statements with, , "at least you're not fat!" As if that's meant to soften the blow!
Due to society choosing to elevate one body type over another, I soon realised that my pain was often overlooked because I was too skinny, as opposed to being too fat! The reality however is that when you are body shamed with such labels , the impact can be so deep and damaging and can last a life-time unless addressed.

Something I've come to learn is that, when you lack self-confidence about things you can't change, life can be tough, unless YOU change the lens through which you perceive those things!
It is for this reason that I go all out on mindset and reframing negative thoughts with my clients. This practice is definitely what I would say, has given me my superpowers when it comes to loving myself just as I am!

There have also been periods in between having my children where I've certainly lacked confidence when it came to my body. There were times where I felt that nothing really looked good on me anymore and I'd cancelled many a nights out before in the past, where I'd simply given up on finding anything nice enough in my wardrobe to wear, despite having more than enough clothes.
It wasn't until I began to fully embrace myself just as I was, and really fall in love with myself just as I was, that I began to see myself differently.

Mindset really is EVERYTHING! Your mindset is literally the gateway to your abilities, your inhibitions, your happiness and so much more.
Now as a more mature women, nothing gives me greater joy than being able to help other women feel fabulous about themselves too, through teaching them how to love, accept and embrace what they already have.
You see, not only do I teach my client's how to dress in a way that is truly flattering for them, I also empower them to work on a positive mindset, which is always lifechanging, as I believe that the right mindset is the catalyst to endless possibilities! The right mindset can make all the difference with bagging that dream man, or getting that dream job!
Anything is possible if you believe!
Every woman is amazing, and she needs to come to that realisation about herself. Once she does, she will realise that the sky quite literally is the limit!
